#Behind The Scenes
HOLIDAY GLAM: MODEL STYLE
We do the holidays a little differently here at Models 1. Of course we’re excited for the gifts and goodies but we’ll never pass up the opportunity to get glam for the camera. Teaming up with our favourites over at Oribe UK and Ruuby App, we created two looks for the festive period, using lot’s of glitter, gloss and shimmer. Lydia Graham and Kirsty Davies, our M1 mainboard women, were the perfect canvas, captured by photographer Paolo Steve. Below, Oribe UK Hair Stylist Miabella Ristorp, gave the girls simple chignons and tousled bobs using Oribe’s extensive line of haircare while Ruuby’s makeup artists brought the glitz to complete their looks.
MAKE-UP
(Same products used on both girls for base)
SKIN:
- Apply primer as a base for your makeup – smoothing evenly over the face
- Using a Beauty Blender, layer Armani Luminous Silk and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
- By creating sheer layers of both foundations you can create a more flawless finish
- Apply Mac Strobe Cream with a Beauty Blender to the cheek bones for glow and shimmer
EYES:
- Create a glitzy Christmas eye by mixing a combination of Mac Glitters and Dior Shadows on and above your eyelid. For the models here, we have used Mac Glitters in shades: 3 D Platinum and Re-flux Teal
- For a more adventurous festive look, play with some textures by adding glitters and gloss to the eyelid – as seen on Lydia, who has applied a pink gloss, with a red shadow over the top.
Kirsty: Sleek Bob
- Firstly, spray on evenly some of the Foundation Mist to maximize moisture
- Then add a small amount of the Super Shine Serum to the ends of the hair
- Use Matte Waves and run through evenly for a beachy texture
- Blow-dry through
- Finish with Dry Texturizing Spray for a bouncy, tousled look
Lydia: Chic Chignon
- Firstly, use the Foundation Mist, spraying gently all over to maximize moisture in the hair
- Then, prep the hair with the Oribe Gel Serum for shine and hold
- Blow-dry the hair for a smoother look
- Next, use Swept Up on the roots for grip at the top of the head
- Then, apply Air Style at the ends of the hair for further smoothness
- Pull all the hair into a sleek ponytail
- Create a knot with all the hair in the ponytail to form a chignon – a timeless, classy style that works perfectly for Christmas drinks.
