And the Winner is……Jodie Tucker!
Models 1 is proud new announce a new face to our books – Face of Brighton Winner Jodie Tucker!
The competition was open to male and female aspiring models aged 15-24 from across the Brighton area, and with strong competition it was extremely tough to narrow it down. But, there could only be one winner, and the beautiful fresh faced Jodie took the crown, wowing the judges with her feline features and auburn hair.
We caught up with Jodie to see how she felt about being this years winner…
Wow, congratulations! How does it feel to be the Face of
Brighton?
Really, really amazing. I applied last year and got down to the final 2 so this year I felt more confident and a little older, so more prepared.
Is modelling something you’ve always been interested in?
Yes, for the last 3 years it’s been something I’d wanted to get into.
What were you doing before this?
I’m still at college studying Art, Media Studies and English Literature. I have a massive interest in film, so I really enjoy media studies. In art we got to choose a topic to explore and I’ve chosen horror films.
So is film something you’d like to pursue?
I’d like to get involved with behind the scenes, or make-up.
Do you have any aspirations to work in fashion?
I love fashion, and looking in magazines so it is something I’d be interested in getting involved in.
Who would be your ultimate designer to work for?
Vivienne Westwood, I really like her quirky designs.
Describe your style
I wear a lot of vintage, but I like a mixture. It’s sort of a mishmash of things I like. As an era, I think 1960’s fashion is my favourite.
Who would be your ultimate dinner date?
Quentin Tarantino
Test shoot photos shot by up and coming photographer Simone Hellicar.
