How did you get into styling?

I started off at Uni in Newcastle studying menswear design, and then became Creative VM for Topman in Manchester. I was asked to go on Style the Nation with Nick Grimshaw and won, and it took off from there!

How would you describe your personal style?

I think it’s a mash up between Prince, Jazzy Jeff and James Dean. If they had a child it would be me. I’d like to throw Neneh Cherry in the mix too, she’s cool.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

Trainers. I do this thing where I buy a pair of trainers and wear them every day and night for like 2 months until they wear out, then throw them in the bin and start again with a new pair. Today, because its snowing I’ve lined them with fake fur, how good is that!

What’s been your biggest fashion faux pas?

Probably every day. I think my favourite was in High School on non-uniform days, I always went to town on mine. Once I got my grandmas friend to make me some flairs out of fake cow fur, and I wore it with a cream fleece and my hair covered in tiny little buns. It was just awful. Maybe it would be cool now..

Favourite artist?

Oh that’s tough. I’d love Crystal Castles, but at the moment I’m listening to loads of Fleetwood Mac and Prince. I listen to Prince every day, it puts me in a good mood.

Who would be your ultimate dinner date?

Whitney Houston. She’d be outrageous and fabulous on the dance floor (when she could stand up of course)

Look out for much more to come from this sartorial whirlwind…
