A NIGHT OF MUSIC AND ART
London hairstylist Mark Hampton, who’s client list includes Kings of Leon, La Roux, Professor Green, Little Boots, Ladyhawke, Cats Eyes, The Rakes, Noah and the Whale and Friendly Fires – has organised a fundraiser to coincide with his latest creative collaboration with Radio Hair Salon and Bumble & Bumble.
Now represented by Julian Watson, Mark has worked on shoots for L’uomo Vogue, Wallpaper, Dazed & Confused, i-D, Q, Interview, Hero, FT How to Spend it, SMUG, The Gentlewoman and Another Man, and has just completed his first major campaign for Valentino.
Taking place at the Red Gallery in Shoreditch, in association with Radio Hair and The Kids Collaborative, the event will see performances from the likes of Calvin Harris, Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell and Sulk. Also due to perform are Citizens! Killa Kela and Klaxons frontman James Righton.
All proceeds from the night will go to Whizz Kids, a charity that helps disabled children lead a more independent life.
In addition to live music and celebrity DJ sets, an exhibition of Hampton’s hair collection for Radio Hair Salon will also feature. Shot by Israel-born fashion photographer Yuval Hen, 25 framed prints will be auctioned off as raffle prizes. Yuval Hen moved to London in 2003, and is one of photography’s emerging new talents, working with the likes of Wonderland, 10, FT How to Spend it, Sunday Times Style, Christopher Kane and more. Those who spend over £15 on raffle tickets will be given a t-shirt with one of two selected images from the collection. Additional raffle prizes will include Radio Hair Gift vouchers, and all guests will receive a good bag on departure containing Bumble & Bumble products, a discount voucher for Radio hair salon and the January issue of Wallpaper Magazine.
