Last night we headed down to a beautiful preview evening for Jean Paul Gautier’s latest exhibition, The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier – From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk. The Barbican Centre is the lucky home of this collection for the next four months.

We were honoured to have been invited down by, ex model, Thierry-Maxime Loriot who also curated the exhibition. After some funny speeches from Thierry and JPG there was a surprise performance from singer/ songwriter Rufus Wainwright, dressed in an embroidered full length JPG coat.

The exhibition really is something else with mannequins that come alive, thanks to realistic projections, pieces worn by the three queens – Beyonce, Kylie and Madonna and all set within stand out photography by icons such as Steven Klein and Stephane Sednaoui. This is not to be missed…
