“THIS MONTH model Neelam Gill has taken the Today I’m Wearing reigns.

Gill was first scouted aged just 13 and was signed with Models1 two years later. After finishing school, she made her catwalk debut in the Burberry spring/summer 2014 show and appeared in the subsequent campaign shot by Mario Testino. A champion for ethnic diversity in the fashion industry, Gill said to Vogue of being the first Indian model for the brand, “It makes me feel great knowing that I’ve opened doors for other girls like me. It felt – and still feels – amazing.”  She has also fronted campaigns for Hunter and Burberry Beauty, and has appeared in countless international fashion publications.

Of her chic personal style she says: “If I have an important casting, I’ll make sure my outfit reflects my personality and makes me look strong and confident – I like wearing all black and if I wear colour it’s always muted or washed out. I don’t like my outfits to look too perfect, usually the best ones are thrown together last minute.” Her go-to labels comprise both high-street and high-end brands, with favourites including All Saints, Burberry, Zara and Christian Louboutin.”  –  vogue.co.uk
